College admissions scandal: Lincoln’s land-grant colleges are still helping students grow
Like all Americans, I was riveted by the breaking news this month that a fraudulent network of wealthy and celebrated individuals paid a shady fixer to secure their children coveted spots in top-tier colleges and universities, doing anything from rigging SAT scores to doctoring images in order to present their offspring as elite athletes worthy of scholarships. I found this story heartbreaking but not, sadly, surprising.
