Empowering Community Colleges Through AI: A New Era of Access and Economic Mobility

Artificial intelligence (AI) has created a shifting dynamic in how society is increasing its efficiencies while elevating its productivity and mass disruption in how the world interacts with itself. Since Apple introduced Siri, its voice-controlled software, in October 2011, consumers have begun normalizing interactions with narrow AI. Combined with the Apple App Store, which first debuted in 2008 with 500 phone applications, in less than 20 years, technology has revolutionized how the average consumer communicates, entertains themselves, and obtains information. In my opinion, the rapid integration of AI in the everyday marketplace through cellular phones opened the door to full AI lifestyle integrations like facial recognition, Alexa, smart home devices, chatbots, online banking security, healthcare diagnosis, language translation, and the like. Consequently, renormalizing consumer expectations for end-user experiences.
