Re-Opening Campus In Fall, Picking Your Existential Poison

If one were designing a place in which to quickly spread the coronavirus, it would be hard to outdo a prison, a nursing home, or a college campus. All three pack human beings into relatively tight quarters and all are staffed by people who are also at risk, but prisons and nursing homes can’t touch campuses when it comes to freedom of movement and the ability of students to move back and forth between campus and their homes. Homes that often have parents, grandparents, and family members with high risk conditions. Yet many institutions are hoping to open this fall and some have already announced their intention to do so.
