The Pandemic Isn’t Over, So Here’s How College Students Can Learn From The Uncertainty

Two weeks ago, we reinstated a mask mandate. I confess that the announcement was a disappointment. Just six weeks earlier, on July 1, we’d lifted the mask requirement at Pace University. It was an optimistic moment. After more than a year of pandemic and lockdowns, after more than a year of constant crisis management, things were looking up (and overall still are, I should note, even despite Delta). Relaxing some of the protocols that had helped us navigate the prior 14 months was concrete evidence that we were making it through. That things were finally getting back to something resembling normal.
